In 2006, Mysticoon is showing four females, Mysticoon Queen Latifa, Mysticoon Masquerade, Mysticoon My Scarlet, and Megacoon Amaretto of Mysticoon, and two males, Luckypaws Shaman of Mysticoon, and Mysticoon High Plains Drifter. Mysticoon is located in the rolling hills and piney woods of north central Florida in Lake City.
Mysticoon is known for large, healthy and companionable kittens. Also, Mysticoon breeding stock has been tested for healthy hips, as well as all hearts tested by Board certified cardiologist.
The Maine Coon Breeders Fancier Association (MCBFA), in their publication The Maine Coon; America's Native Longhair, state that "The important features of the Maine Coon are the head and body shape, and the texture and shag of the coat. The head is slightly longer than it is wide, presenting a gently concave profile with high cheekbones and ears that are large, wide at the base, moderately pointed, and well tufted inside. They are set well upon the head...lynx-like tufting on the top of the ears is desirable. The tail should be at least as long as the torso. One of their most distinctive features is their eyes, which are large, round, expressive, and set at a slightly oblique angle. Overall, the Maine Coon should present the appearance of a well-balanced rectangular cat."

1993-2005
Luke Skywalker journeyed over the Rainbow Bridge in June of 2005. He was the first nationally winning show cat for MYSTICOON, with regional and national titles. Luke sired many wonderful kittens over 7 years, and in his last years, was a beloved pet companion of Muriel Kay Heimer and her grandson, Eric Bokinsky. Luke was a cat of formidable character, massive size, winning personality, and possessed one of the most expressive and beautiful feline faces ever bred by MYSTICOON. His forbears were from the lines of Willowplace and Cooncreole. We will miss Luke’s cheerful demeanor and beauty. Luke’s very best character feature was his desire to be a loyal, loyal companion.
Maine Coons make excellent family pets and enjoy children. Maine Coons are sociable with other family pets, including other cats, and get along especially well with dogs. They are a hardy, natural breed. All characteristics indicate the excellence of nature's natural selection for health and survival.
